Lucas Maassen & Margriet Craens
Lucas Maassen & Margriet Craens are an Eindhoven-based duo working between conceptual design and multidisciplinary art. Lucas, a Design Academy Eindhoven graduate, has exhibited internationally at institutions including MoMA, the Vitra Design Museum, and the Van Abbemuseum, and teaches at Design Academy Eindhoven. His practice playfully manipulates the parameters of objects, shifting between function, fiction, and imagination. Margriet, trained in fine arts and Dutch literature, has shown her work at venues such as Art Rotterdam, MU Artspace, and Bangkok Design Week, and is also the founder of 70% BAR in Eindhoven. Her practice moves between art, design, and performance, often marked by a double view of humor and tragedy. Together they create projects that mix narrative and experimentation, reimagining the role of everyday objects in art and design.
