Linda Spåman
Linda Spåman (b. 1976) is a Gothenburg-based artist, graphic novelist, illustrator, and scenographer whose practice blends visual storytelling with dark humour, satire, and elements of the uncanny. A graduate of HDK–Valand, she debuted as an author in 2005 with the graphic novel Kötthuvudet and has since published several acclaimed titles. Her latest book, Ett år av apokalyptiskt tänkande, continues her exploration of death, love, and fractured relationships through a tragicomic lens. Spåman’s work often draws on themes of magic, fortune-telling, and popular culture, weaving together the grotesque and the playful in ways that are both unsettling and sharply satirical. Alongside her graphic novels, she creates exhibitions, tarot decks, and scenographic works that invite viewers into worlds where humour and tragedy collide.
